Saturday’s annual Attitash Grand Illumination and boat parade brought out about 12 boats parading around the shoreline just before dusk. Some were decorated and other joined the group just for fun.

Along the shore, dozens of homes were lighted and residents and guests cheered the boaters as they passed by.

The Grand Illumination on Lake Attitash has been held every year on Labor Day weekend since 1994. The traditional celebration of lights was started in the early 1900s and revived in 1994 by the Lake Attitash Association.
