UNH students practice water sampling on Attitash

This past Tuesday, nine students from the University of New Hampshire under the guidance of three faculty members of the university’s Center for Freshwater Biology practiced several techniques for capturing water samples and gathering scientific data from lakes.

Two pontoon boats provided and skippered by Lake Attitash Association board members carried the group out to the deepest point in the lake. Once anchored in position, the students deployed several types of sampling and data gathering equipment.

This is the third time this season that UNH students have visited Lake Attitash as  part of their studies.
