Biography of the artist
Brenda Bucklin Manning currently resides in Massachusetts, while vacationing in Florida and Maine. She is a talented individual who enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her artwork. She creates her art using oils, watercolors and pastels, as well as pencil and pen & ink. You can find her in her studio or painting outdoors.
Mrs. Manning studied under the tutelage of Eleanor Bucklin, her aunt and noted artist from New Jersey. Painting has been prevalent in her family, with William Savory Bucklin, a noted artist from the late 1800’s, as one of her relatives. She attended Kent State University and earned a Fine Arts degree from Sullins College. Brenda has been painting professionally for over 30 years and continues to fine-tune her art by participating in art guilds and attending workshops. She is a member of the Framingham Artists’ Guild (a past president), Newburyport Art Association and the Hudson Arts Alliance of Hudson. Her paintings and prints are in collections throughout the United States.
