Don’t disturb turtles or nests on Indian Head Beach

The Merrimac conservation commission says turtles are now laying their eggs at Indian Head Beach in Merrimac. Please do not disturb the designated turtle nesting sites, which are well marked. (See photos below.)

This beach can be accessed by water only. There is no public access over land. Sun bathers, canoeists, kayakers, etc., are allowed to use the beach, but motorized boats are not allowed.

Visitors are asked to remove all material brought in and to leave the turtle nest sites alone.
