Rake up weeds on your shore - help prevent spread of invasives in Attitash

At last night's Lake Attitash Association annual meeting, someone suggested that lakefront residents rake up weeds that wash ashore whenever possible. Weed fragments that float to the shoreline may contain invasive species such as milfoil, and removing them will help assure they do not refloat and begin to spread.Dispose of weeds removed from the shoreline at the town's composting facility or somewhere else away from the lakeDo not disturb weeds growing in the water. (Removing growing invasive weeds requires instruction, and removing them improperly could cause spreading.)
