Weed treatment scheduled for Tuesday 13 June

Please be advised that Solitude Lake Management will be conducting a weed survey and treatment on June 13. Expect to see them around the perimeter of the lake. They are targeting curly leaf pondweed as well as milfoil- both invasive weeds. The CL pondweed has been increasing but this year seems to be abundant.Bright orange posters are being put up around the lake stating:

• No contact with the water (swimming, fishing or boating) until 14th.
• No drinking or cooking w lake water until 16th.
• No watering of livestock until 14th.
• No irrigation until 18th.

The cost of this treatment and a follow up in August is being paid for by the State this year, thanks to good advocacy and support from Representative Mirra, Representative Kelcourse and Senator O'Connor Ives.If you get a chance, thank them.Lake Attitash Association
